Cab Ride Price Downtown to Contemporary (Orlando, Seminole: rent, how much, calculator)

Hello. Does anyone know how much the cab fare would be from downtown Orlando, Embassy Suites to the Contemporary? Not planning to commute back and forth, just need a one time cab ride to the Contemporary after being downtown for a few days. Thanks.

Probably $50 or more. Who knows with the way gas prices are. You might want to check Craigslist for a ride share. There are privately owned businesses that maybe less. You can also see of the bus goes there. It would be less.

You'll likely need to change buses down by Disney or walk a bit, but you can take the bus from one to the other (if you change buses, it'll be 4 bucks I guess). The ride will probably be long though... hour and a half or more total. Check the Lynx site or Google. It might also be possible to take the bus to S Orlando and then pick up a Disney shuttle to take you where you need to go, but you'll need to ask the resort about that.

As for cab fare... it is 25 miles... so yeah, 50+ dollars. Maybe as much as 70 or so.

Ninety minutes from downtown to the Contemporary? Um, no. Cab fares are regulated by Orange County and can't arbitrarily be raised because gas prices go up.

I plugged in the addresses of the start and finish points to the Mears taxi fare calculator, and came up with $64. Of course it could be a bit higher if you get hung up in traffic or hit every light. That doesn't include the tip, either. So plan on the total cost being about $75.

Yep. There are somtimes specials for $15/day at the airport!

But if they are staying downtown fr a few days they will have to pay to park, negating any savings.
