There are a couple hundred homes in all sorts of neighborhoods that are coming in at $100 or less a ft. 31 of them have pools, all are built since 2005 and have 2500 sq ft or more. Seems I have seen some great bargains. Are there some that aren't? of course. They won't sell until the better values are absorbed.

Some areas I have seen the prices actually rise as the distressed sales are being processed. I will bet these low prices will in fact rise, our demand is too high for that not to occur.

I know of homes in all price ranges that have had drastic drops in prices, some as much as $5 million. There are even bargains for millionaires :-)

I've been looking to move to either lake mary or windermere from PA and have looked at several homes in both areas within the last week. I saw one home that I really liked, its 2782 sq ft, but has a price of $589k. My realtor is advising an offer between $525k and $530, I'm thinking no more than $500k. Median sale price is $147/sq ft in the area.

There are super deals available....but the majority of those are in areas where people don't really want to live.

With so many foreign investors and new movers, if someone holds on to their property long enough, they will still get good money for it. It is Orlando....a city name known all over the world. It is a little messy now due to over building....but we'll bounce back and business will be as usual.

In Jacksonville, the large population related to the two Naval bases keeps the property there in demand and at a high dollar.

The prediction I believe I saw for Orlando when prices would be back up to where they were during the "boom years" was 2032.
