looking to relocate to central fla from s.e. fla . please help!! (Orlando: construction jobs)

hello im a 32 year old single male . i have lived around the ft lauderdale area my whole life just about. im a plumber that works in new construction and remodeling etc... got laid off from my last job on a big construction site a while back ,and there hasent been any work down here. was in the tampa- sarasota area lately and seemed to be more work going on and defenitly alot more land to build on in that part of the state. no more land down here to build on. i hate what south fl. has become.english has become the second language. being a white male, ecspecially being a tradesman, i am a minority. and way too many retirees. im looking for somewhere less diverse, more laid back, a younger population,friendlier people, and more work going on. i like the ocala area but will need to be closer to an area like orlando,tampa,daytona where there is some work going on, but dont want to be right in those cities. i hate clubs, rather go to a bar with pool, darts, and football. another reason i want to move up there is the weather, the colder the better for me. it was 10- 15 degrees colder in tampa than ft. lauderdale when i was there, and i loved it.would like some small rolling hills if possible too. please give me some suggestions of where it would be a better quality of life for me. i really appriciate your help. thank you , your fellow floridian..

If you want hills, look into the areas west of orlando. Its more southern in culture has a lot of land, and hills. friendly people, but also that is the area of central FL where you will find retirees. But there is still a lot of young people too.







As for construction jobs, its possible, but don't expect it to be easy to find one. Look into construction jobs for the high speed rail project, there supposed to start hiring within a few months.

I hear things are getting better in Atlanta . Nothing going on in orlando in construction jobs . Mucho forclosures .

I know two plumbers out of work for over a year in Orlando. No plumbing work here.
