The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.

I honestly try to live my life 20 minutes at a time to keep from worrying about stuff that isn't going to happen.....and even if it did.....worrying about it days in advance is just silly. This is one of my worst habits that I'm seriously trying to break.

And when you get old you ask yourself........."how did it get here so fast?".

Amen! Right now it's all I can do to get through each day. Too much time on my hands, not enough going on at work to keep my mind busy, no money to do projects, blah blah blah. I've hit one of life's deserts but it's ok because I'm taking it one day at a time and tomorrow might be the day I see an end to it.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with my mom a couple of weekend ago. I told her I will be glad when I don't have to do stuff for my two youngest kids all the time. She asked me what I plan to do with all that time. I said "relax". She told me that will take about a week up, then what will I do? It was one of those 'aha' moments for me.

We have to work twice as many hours on the job to even get close to the money we made in past years. I'm really tired and wish I had more free time.

And that is a blessing. when I'm overwhelmed, I say it's just for today.

It's so true, free time seems like a blessing until you have too much of it. The other day I re-read "Anne Frank's Diary" and it's amazing the things I picked up on that I didn't appreciate before. Talk about how having nothing to do can be torture. It must have been a maddening thing to sit still in an attic day after day after day after day. I don't know if I could do that.

That's a good one. It's hard for me to do, but I'm trying to remember that. It sure makes things a lot easier if you see it that way!...LOL.
