I know she will do an excellent job, she will bring her own style and taste into it, and she won't let us down! She will take good care of this thread. I know I'm leaving it in good hands. Congratulations Coastal!

My liberation from using forks is almost complete. I suffered enough frustraton using forks over the years. Soup spoon time has arrived and it's here to stay!
When I was served a salad all diced up really fine a couple years ago in Argentina with a soup spoon, I almost bonged myself over the head for being such a dingbat all these years, not having figured that one out: cut up all the vegetables fine enough to eat with a spoon. Stabbing days over!
I'm one that cannot eat without reading a magazine/book at the table
and using a fork is too time-consuming, and how many times you finally succeed in getting some food onto a fork, and then on in its short journey to the mouth, it falls on my book or my clothes. Grrr.....
Before I eat, everything gets cut up designed for a soup spoon. Cake?
Who needs a fork for that?
Don't ever invite me to a fancy restaurant with Miss Manners at the table, reprimanding me for not using a fork. Now there's one time I might be tempted to us a fork. As a weapon!
