Good morning everyone
Happy Saturday

Yay it is the weekend !!

So before I get started on my Saturday let me ask

Today's Question(s):
Inspired by a suggestion from one of our QOTD family

Do any of your family or friends have Color Blindness ?

Do they have more trouble telling the difference between certain colors than others ?

Do they use any "tricks" or methods to tell the difference in colors ?

Interesting fact:
About 1 in 10 men have some form of color blindness. Very few women are color blind.
Often, the symptoms may be so mild that some persons do not know they are color blind.

Inquiring Minds Question:

What are your plans for this weekend ?

Are there any you would like to "trade in" ?

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of Driver license day

When you took your driving test did you take the "road test"
On a closed course ?
Out on the main roads ?

Which part of the "road test" did you dread the most ?

Do you like the picture on your license ?

Bonus Question:
In honor of Financial Awareness Day

Who handles the finances in your home ?

Do the other folks in your home have any idea whats going on with them ?

Just for Fun:

Do you have to enter a password to log into your home computer ?

Are you ticklish ?

Have you ever played Wiffle Ball ?

Today's Question(s):
Inspired by a suggestion from one of our QOTD family

Do any of your family or friends have Color Blindness ?

My Grandpa did.

Do they have more trouble telling the difference between certain colors than others ?

Not sure. When my sisters and I were kids, we would ask him what color things were because he couldn't tell you. Either that or he was teasing us, which is entirely possible, as I'm sure it was pretty annoying on his end.

Do they use any "tricks" or methods to tell the difference in colors ?
Don't know

Interesting fact:
About 1 in 10 men have some form of color blindness. Very few women are color blind.
Often, the symptoms may be so mild that some persons do not know they are color blind.

Inquiring Minds Question:

What are your plans for this weekend ?

Back to school shopping. Other things may need to be put on hold because I am sick (still and again, sigh)

Are there any you would like to "trade in" ?

Yes, I'd like an entirely new and enjoyable weekend, please.

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of Driver license day

When you took your driving test did you take the "road test"
On a closed course ?
Out on the main roads ? This one

Which part of the "road test" did you dread the most ?

I don't remember

Do you like the picture on your license ?

It's not too bad, but not my favorite.

Bonus Question:
In honor of Financial Awareness Day

Who handles the finances in your home ?

That would be me.

Do the other folks in your home have any idea whats going on with them ?

Not the first clue.

Just for Fun:

Do you have to enter a password to log into your home computer ?

No

Are you ticklish ?

Yes. I HATE being tickled.

Have you ever played Wiffle Ball ?

A loooooong time ago.

Do any of your family or friends have Color Blindness ? I guess you would have to ask them.

Do they have more trouble telling the difference between certain colors than others ? Shouldn't you be asking about
us?

Do they use any "tricks" or methods to tell the difference in colors ?
I have a good idea. Don't take their suggestions any more.

Do you like the picture on your license ? I wouldn't exactly say that they're pro photographers. I'd rather have mine taken against a background of green trees while it's raining.

Today's Question(s):
Inspired by a suggestion from one of our QOTD family

Do any of your family or friends have Color Blindness ?

I have a friend that has total colorblindness. I'm technically color blind.

Do they have more trouble telling the difference between certain colors than others ?

Yes. He's totally colorblind. So he literally sees in shades of gray. And seeing as I'm totally blind, I have a little trouble in that area myself. :P

Do they use any "tricks" or methods to tell the difference in colors ?

I don't know, I never asked him. I can tell the difference between most of my clothes by their texture and braille label the ones I can't.

Interesting fact:
About 1 in 10 men have some form of color blindness. Very few women are color blind.
Often, the symptoms may be so mild that some persons do not know they are color blind.

Inquiring Minds Question:

What are your plans for this weekend ?

Horseback riding today and an ASL (American Sign Language) meet-up. Then going to my friend's baptism tomorrow.

Are there any you would like to "trade in" ?

Nope, all of these plans I chose to do.

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of Driver license day

When you took your driving test did you take the "road test"

I don't think you want me behind a wheel.
On a closed course ?

I have biked down my house street without help, though.

Out on the main roads ?

(I shore lined the curb with the bike tires to the intersection.)

Which part of the "road test" did you dread the most ?

I've had a handful of nightmares about being subjected to a driving test.

Do you like the picture on your license ?

People tell me I look like a terrorist. Lol.

Bonus Question:
In honor of Financial Awareness Day

Who handles the finances in your home ?

I do.

Do the other folks in your home have any idea whats going on with them ?

Yes. I update my wife every few days about how much we've spent, how much we have in our account.

Just for Fun:

Do you have to enter a password to log into your home computer ?

Yes. If I don't force prompt myself, I forget my passwords.

Are you ticklish ?

No. It just hurts me.

Have you ever played Wiffle Ball ?

I have no idea what that is.

Today in History:
1873 - The first issue of "Field and Stream" magazine was published.
1893 - France issues 1st driving licenses, included required test
1935 - Social Security Act becomes law

SS has been around that long? I had no idea.

1965 - Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe" hits #1
1984 - IBM released PC-DOS v3.0 for PC/AT (with network support). A 286 processor, 20-30meg hard drive and 256k/512k RAM for somewhere between $6000 and $9000.

That's a real whopper. They should feature that word in the next Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Alfred Hitchcock Day
Driving License Test Day

On this day in 1965 Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe" hit #1. And it's been stuck in my head ever since! I've been known to sing It's a small World just to get rid of it!

Today's Question(s):
Inspired by a suggestion from one of our QOTD family

Do any of your family or friends have Color Blindness ?

Nope, just out and out bad taste. Comes from too many years of selling golf attire in Florida.

Inquiring Minds Question:

What are your plans for this weekend ?

I'm on a business trip in a town I've been to too many times and hate. So what I'm doing is going to the few places I sort of like and the rest of this weekend I'm planning my vacation. I can't believe I used to tell employers that I'd LOVE to travel for work. A business trip is NOT a vacation!

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of Driver license day

When you took your driving test did you take the "road test"

Out on the main roads, baby. Watch out, here I come!

Which part of the "road test" did you dread the most ?

The part where you ask the instructor if you passed, and he rolls his eyes, and has a look on his face like "I really need a drink"...

Do you like the picture on your license ?

OMG, no! My only consolation is my photo's better than my husband's.

Bonus Question:
In honor of Financial Awareness Day

Who handles the finances in your home ?

We both do.

Do the other folks in your home have any idea whats going on with them ?
[/b]

To some extent.

Do any of your family or friends have Color Blindness ? Only one of my friends (that I know of) is colour blind. For many years, he worked as a steward on long-distance trains... a job that he loved. Then the rail company in its infinite wisdom decide that ALL train employees (even those that served drinks, and made up the beds) had to be free of colour-blindness... just in case they were ever required to check railroad signals. So my friend was transferred to a job in the office... which he absolutely hated. Since he was only a few years short of retirement he stuck it out.

Do they have more trouble telling the difference between certain colors than others ?
Red and green.

Do they use any "tricks" or methods to tell the difference in colors ?
We've never discussed it... I'll ask him next time I see him!

Interesting fact:
About 1 in 10 men have some form of color blindness. Very few women are color blind.
Often, the symptoms may be so mild that some persons do not know they are color blind.

Inquiring Minds Question:

What are your plans for this weekend ?
Well, Downunder, the weekend is already half over! Tomorrow... get the laundry up to date, catch up on emails, maybe get together with/call a few friends.

Are there any you would like to "trade in" ?
No, I'm cool with my "To do" list.

Extra Credit Question:
In honor of Driver license day

When you took your driving test did you take the "road test"
On a closed course ?
Out on the main roads

Which part of the "road test" did you dread the most ?
I don't remember dreading any of it... I wasn't really expecting to pass first time as I'd only had half a dozen lessons.

Do you like the picture on your license ?
Amazingly enough, the picture this time around isn't too bad at all... much better than the one in my passport!

Bonus Question:
In honor of Financial Awareness Day

Who handles the finances in your home ?
Ain't no-one else 'round here but me!

Do the other folks in your home have any idea whats going on with them ?
Are there other folks hiding out in my home???!!

Just for Fun:

Do you have to enter a password to log into your home computer ?
Nope

Are you ticklish ?
Yup

Have you ever played Wiffle Ball ?
Nope, never even heard of it!

Have a Super Saturday!
