Tip of the Day - 09/08/2010 (Cool vacuum tip) (buy, furniture, Walmart)

Cover you vacuum's hose attachment with a piece of cheesecloth and secure with a rubber band. As you vacuum, the dust will come up while leaving the smaller objects behind.

You can use this technique in any area where you can't see clearly if there are any small pieces which can harm your vacuum. (Drawers, under or behind larger furniture, under car seats, tool boxes, toy boxes, craft areas, etc.)

Well the coolest would be if I could teach Shredder how to vacuum up his own dang hair. Since he likes cheese maybe if I use your tip with cheesecloth

I wonder if one of those swifter cloths would work...?? It would be disposable.

I use the vacuum to reach items sometimes. Works great, just don't let them get sucked in!

I think I've seen cheesecloth at the Super Walmart in my town.

Car care/ automotive centers carry it for polishing cloth.
