I think I am perplexed by this on because I find it such a contradiction, For example, the dean of my college delivering a commencement speech-he is a boring person and his speech was boring I found him boring. On the other hand my talk tanned Legislation of Morality college professor was not boring there is no way he could have bored me. I think u take people in the state u find them and they pretty much live up to ur expectations one way or the other.
Don't care! Ain't gonna do it! Take those six bores off my Ignore list!
Seriously, there are times I started to read one of Pam's longer tip threads, got bored, moved on, and then a couple months later I found myself needing the info from that particular Tip badly, and I had to scout around madly to find it!
Last night, someone at work asked if I ever did this or that to my computer, like deletions from browser file, or if I ever used the Wastebasket on my computer, he went on and on, I got bored, shut down, and I know some day I'll wish I would have listened more carefully.
And oh the times my parents bored me with being careful about doing this or that and I wish I had listened!
Yep, I take this as a warning. I was often bored by people that I should have listened to...but if you are young and they bore you, what can one do? A very good proverb though. I think many times, we use "selective listening" and hear only what we want to hear.
