Nature again, lol.

Where I live there are plenty of songbirds but a few have captured me....the Carolina wren "talks" and sings incessantly but do not EVEN get near her nest!

Young and old Cardinals (red/southeast US) have a pretty sound...doves of course with their sweet coos; and then I must mention, the great blue heron. I was kayaking in a mangrove area and apparently surprised one....OH I came close to having a stroke...he was right above me in a tree along the shore and let out a HUGE squawking honk. Really scared me!! lol

The little Chickadees have little sweet voices...they are so polite, they only take one seed at a time. Oh and the Mockingbird, who copies everyone else's sounds and songs....master of deception!

Any favorites bird vocalizations where you are from??

Well it’s not one of my favorite ones but I’ve noticed that whenever congress and the senate are in session, I’ll hear the Washington DC CooCoo vocalizations start up again. What birdbrains they are.

I love the birdcall of the Australian Magpie, which is a common sound around here. When you get a few of them together, trilling away to each other, it's enough to always make me stop and listen.
