Happy leap day peevers.

I'm late posting the peeve. The workmen are already here, with one right outside the study. Unfortunately Miss J is not feeling well and has escaped her room to sit behind me on the sofa. I think I'll see about getting the dog round to a friend's. I don't want to risk having a choccy labrador with china blue paint stripes!

Hmm- how about this for a peeve;

Getting ill at a 'bad' time (if there was ever a good time).

Getting ill for a long time is even worse. I've had this flu-like crap going on a month now! Hope the wife feels better soon Jezer. Hide the pooch! Or throw a tarp over it!

That's what the burglar said when he got caught with his 'ill begotten goods'.

There is never a good time to get sick...and if you are, hopefully you can escape whatever you're doing and get some much needed rest...

I saw a funniest video episode years ago that featured a bride and groom at the altar. When the minister asked the bride for her wedding vows, she said, with a sickly look on her face, "I have to go to the bathroom" and hurried away. Talk about an embarrassing moment.

I rarely get sick but when I do, it's a doozy!

Good thing my kids are thoroughly capable of cooking and doing laundry. Thoughtful little darlings, they save the cleaning for me so I won't feel that i'm no longer needed.
