Do you believe in “karma”?

Life seems to have the ups and downs from time to time, but did you ever give any thought to karma?

Personally it seems like the more nice things that I might do, the nicer the day or the next one becomes. It’s like payback and for the most part seems to be consistent. Even when I have been “bad – (just a little) the day seems to go down hill quickly.

Karma, Fate, seems things eventually equal out somewhere along the line.

Depends on what faith or whatever you believe in. I used to think of it as fate or karma but now I think of it as when you do something positive and or think positively then that is what comes back to you. Kind of an energy thing the more you do the more you build up. Maybe the same thing with a different name.

I believe in Karma and in Faith. But to me, those are two different things. I do believe in Karma.

I recently had a conversation with the Head Cook where I work about Karma.
She said "Karma is your own conscience"

Yes. This could perhaps be defined in the terms Goddess mentions.

Well, I will tell you this, and I have mentioned it a million times in my own thread. My dh that i am sep fr has told me that i will reap what I sow, and that karma is B*tch, I told him I agree.

Nothing but bad things have beenn happening to him. I have been blessed. Bumps in the roads, twists and turns, which I believe to be normal in this process, but nothing like what he is having. And everything that happens he blames on me, or his land lady, or who ever, and he says of that person they will reap what they sow, but never willl he.

I do believe in Karma, and we will all reap... just depends on what we are sowing... even if we dont 'own ' the things we have sown

Conscience is within yourself, and Karma is a power of some sort that just happens. I don’t see how my conscience had the power reward or punish me whereas Karma seems to actually happen within a short period of time.

Karma [power or energy] from outside yourself could be that power or energy from a higher authority.

It any case it’s interesting to think about it and it sure seems to be a negative or positive effect in peoples lives.
