Someone mentioned coffee grinders yesterday in the food forum and it
reminded me of something I like to use mine for. In addition to coffee
beans, I use my coffee grinder to grind nuts and cinnamon for recipes.
It also works great for making bread crumbs.
When I grind nuts or cinnamon in the grinder, I purposely don't clean
the grinder out afterward. That way, the next bunch of coffee beans
that I grind will have a bit of a nutty or cinnamony flavor. Delicious!

Maybe I should pick up a coffee grinder, I still use a pestle and mortar. It's a left over from the good ol' days of yore. I use to know a girl who could bump and grind and crack walnuts at the same time.

I have an antique coffee pot. The kind you put on the stove with the coffee in a metal container. It's the only one we own and we used it for tea. Might be fun to try with some freshly ground coffee.
What a great idea! Never thought about doing this before and would taste much better than those artificially flavored coffees. Now I just need to buy a grinder so I can try it out
I don't have a coffee grinder but would love to have one. I'm a coffee freak and your idea of not cleaning it after grinding cinnamon or nuts is a good one, what a great way to flavor it! Thanks Pam!
