Good morning peevers.

There's something strange in the sky this morning- the sun.

Pam's thread on vacation spots gave me the idea for today's peeve.

Miss J is off with a load of her friends to Turkey tomorrow and she is so excited.

I just remembered that she'll need an electrical adaptor and hopefully she'll have everything she needs.

Today's peeve is;

Remembering what to pack for a vacation.

As i travel a lot here's a tip for her, do it twice. The second time around she'll find she swaps a lot of the stuff for other items she'll have forgotten the first time around.

I either forget something important or bring way too much.

I go extra light and my companion over packs. Way, way, WAY over packs. I always leave some extra room in my suitcase, because I know we will need it.

Don't forget the plastic bag for dirty laundry! Otherwise, you will be like that thread in the nonromantic relationships where someone did laundry on last day of vacation. Oh, what a stir that caused!

That's why I love traveling in the motor home. It has everything already packed.

The thing that would stress me the most would be forgetting makeup and hair stuff. Other than those things, at least I'd be fully dressed for the trip to go shopping if I forgot plenty of underwear or needed other clothes or shoes.

Just got back from a two week vacation. I must say, I did a pretty good job of not overpacking too much. Although I didn't wear a pair of jeans and a pair of tennis shoes!

We were in the Turks and Caicos on Grand Turk to get certified for scuba diving. We landed but our luggage did not. It took a day of jumping up and down at the airport to get our suitcases. They were brand new and one of them was damaged. We had to cancel our scuba class and go with the resort class so we could dive anyway. It taught us a lesson about packing. We only travel with the largest carry on we can get away with.

Thankfully we are light packers, if we do forget something we can usually pick it up at our destination.
