Hi, kids! Today's Tip is short and sweet - like PJ.
Scroll on down and check it out!

PACKING SHOES

When you pack your suitcase for a trip, how do you pack your shoes?
The boxes are way too big; tissue paper shreds easily and makes a
mess. I found a way-cool Tip online for packing shoes.

Buy a cheap package of plastic shower caps and wrap your shoes in
them. They'll fit easily in between your clothes and they won't smudge
or snag the clothes. Easy peasy!

^^^ Yes, a grocery plastic bag works well for that.

I usually throw a ziplock or two and a couple trash bags or grocery bags in my travel bag. Unfortunately, my travelbag was supposed to be headed for the coast this weekend. That's been postponed once again.

Plastic shopping bags or (clean, rinsed out and dried) produce bags also work great for shoes. But shower caps have elastic, which would make them fit more snugly. You could also save and recycle those shower caps they give you in motels and hotels. Thanks, Pam!

Same here! Anything that can leak goes in a sealable plastic bag.

That and when headed for the beach there's gonna be wet clothes. They may or may not get laundered before being packed away.

Ditto! Have saved many a trip with using these, the gallon size ziplocks for the larger liquids, i.e., lotions, shampoos, etc., and the smaller sandwich bags for nail polish... how these come open when they were shut tight I'm not sure, but they have more than once in my long plane trips where I've checked luggage!

Neat tip, PJ, on the use of shower caps for shoes, so thanks, never thought of using those!

I use draw-string shoe socks but the shower caps are much less expensive. Good tip, Pam.

Thanks Pam.

I also stuff my shoes with the socks I'm taking to save space and help let the shoes keep their shape.
