Slow night Tuesday..... it's been an hour so I'll take a shot.

Tonight's "Topic" is "Your first taste of freedom" ?

Spoiler
....or if you prefer "why I was a teenage werewolf"?

I got the shackles off around 12 years old... Had to be in bed by 9 school nights -- week ends in the house by 10. And had me a motor boat for cursing the lake.. 14 footer with 20hp.. Cats Meow...it just progressed from that point on.. I had to say yes sir and no mama when talking with my parents.. old school. No James Dean in the house stuff.. especially when I got my leather jacket at 14... the whole world stop revolving that day.. I was a hoodlum..... fast cars and the stock car track on Saturday night.. had to be 16 to warm cars up.. well I was 15.. and another story.

It's amazing how we were allowed to roam at 12 years old. My parents weren't that strict but were concerned parents. I was making friends with some of my soon to be biking buddies. I went everywhere on my bike(s) back then. Getting my license and new motorcycle at 14 did it for me. I was off on my own. I still lived at home and checked in here and there but I was free. Funny how even some relatives thought me and friends were hoodlums. Nothing was further from the truth.

When I was about 6 years old, I ran away from home. I packed a box of cereal, a bag of chocolate chips, and my Lennon Sisters paper dolls(actually their box was my suitcase). Oh yeah & some dog treats...
I escaped in the middle of the night (probably about 4AM) through my bedroom window & hid in the neighbors dog house(thus the dog treats). We lived in the country so the closest neighbor was about 1/4 mile away. I waited & waited & waited nobody came looking for me, but the dog. I went home & nobody even knew I ran away. I have been really free since then. Boy I really miss those Lennon Sisters paper dolls.

I grew up on a fresh water lake Finger Lakes of N.Y. 35 miles long and at my house about 4+ miles wide. I had 3.. 6 gallon tanks of gas in my boat. I roamed that lake.. only had a floating seat cushion and a flash light.. but again hair slick back and a leather jacket you were a hoodlum.. and that music these kids are playing revolting. The long hair had not hit yet.. just the little dab will do.. well a hand full slopped on and slicked back you were cool..

For us young rebels at that young age and out behind the barn or down at the creek.. cherry bombs and M-80's that was fire power.. Makes you wonder how we survived.. I look back at some of those times..

Sound like my cousin in Bahamas. Lived on the island of Marsh harbor. A one lane road around the island was all that separated his home from the ocean and his little rowboat at the docks. I went there as a small child and had a ride on his little boat.
