Has anyone gone to toastmasters meeting?
If so did it help?

I haven't. But I understand that it is a great place to learn how speak well in public or to an audience. I wish we had one in this vicinity. I'd surely check it out. My public speaking skills are the pits.

I have not attended a meeting, but I have friends that are members and have improved the communications skills. See below for site and info:

I took a public speaking course at a community college, and it was REALLY helpful! I've had to give 2 maid-of-honor speeches recently, and people were complimenting me up & down after each. Maybe you could sign up for one at your local CC? One of the best things they taught was to not read notes (but carry them just in case), and speak from the heart... I pretend I'm speaking to one person, but still remember to make eye contact with the whole "audience".

They have toastmasters meeting in my company. I had never heard of it before I worked here. They send out monthly emails with reviews on it, and all employees are free to go if they would like. I think its an awesome idea.

They have the meetings through our company as well, but I have not had the chance to attend one, but think it would be very informative.
