Good morning everyone
Happy Monday
Happy Groundhog Day
Here is hoping that the he does what he should so spring is right around the corner

What a great time we had last night good friends, good game.
lol and the 4 of us here worked really hard on all the yummy snacks even the dogs shared some. A fun time was had by all !!!

So before I start on my Monday to do list lets get started on

Today's Question(s):

When was the last wedding you went to ?

What is the strangest/funniest thing you have ever seen at a wedding ?

Have you ever caught the Bouquet or Garter at a wedding ?

Some Just Because Questions:

What is your favorite food leftover ?

Last time you ran in the grass barefoot ?

Have you ever :

Been in the Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts ?
Ridden on a train?
Taken a drink from the hose on a hot summer day?

Today in History:
1887 - The first Ground Hog Day. GH Day is when a bunch of folks in Punxsutawney, PA get up before the crack of dawn, put on tuxedos and fancy gowns, march to the city park, and pull old Punxsutawney Phil out of his little house in a tree trunk. Then they observe him as he goes about doing his groundhog shadow thing. If the woodchuck (aka ground hog) doesn’t see his shadow, it means spring is on its way. If the critter sees his shadow, it means six more weeks of winter

Word of the Day:
exiguous \ig-ZIG-yoo-us\, adjective:
Extremely scanty; meager.

Today is:

Heavenly Hash Day
Crepes Day
Bottle Cap Day
Self Renewal Day
Grand Central Station Day

*****

Have great day everyone !!!!!

I agree with AksarbeN. BBQ anything!!

Last time you ran in the grass barefoot ?

We have Lyme's disease around here. No barefoot running, walking, crawling, etc.

Have you ever :

Been in the Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts ? Yes
Ridden on a train? Yes
Taken a drink from the hose on a hot summer day? No, I don't like it when I get hosed.

About Groundhog Day: That rodent saw his shadow again this morning. Someone needs to have a quiet conversation with him ... with a two-by-four!

Good Monday morning all.

Last wedding-last summer.

Strangest at a wedding-the bride and groom got into a fist fight over the money bag-we hit the exit door fast.

Bouquet-Nope.

Leftovers-lasagne-always better 2nd day.

Ran in the grass-long time ago.

Girl Scouts-no.

Train-yes we took Amtrak sleeper car from PA to MN and I would never do it again-matter of fact we cancelled return trip and flew back.

Hose-probably not since I was a kid.

6 more weeks of winter, he saw his shadow (with all the cameras I don't know who he doesn't anymore). We do have a groundhog in Nebraska (other than Gus!) but no report from him. Also apparently we are going to have a Tiger at the Omaha zoo predict the weather:
JournalStar.com - Lincoln, Nebraska - News - Nebraska (http://www.journalstar.com/news/nebraska/doc49861458c4729788907823.txt - broken link)
We'll see what happens.

When was the last wedding you went to ?
I believe it was back in October.
What is the strangest/funniest thing you have ever seen at a wedding ?
I thought it was kinda cool, but they gave everyone pop rocks to eat and they walked out to pop rocks
Have you ever caught the Bouquet or Garter at a wedding ?
no, you had to drag me out there when I was single

Some Just Because Questions:

What is your favorite food leftover ?
pizza is always good
Last time you ran in the grass barefoot ?
When it was warm enough too! So probably late summe.
Have you ever :

Been in the Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts ?
I was but not very long. My wife has a Gold award from Girl Scouts.
Ridden on a train?
just at Theme Parks
Taken a drink from the hose on a hot summer day?
oh yeah.

Today's Question(s):

When was the last wedding you went to ? Neighbor's son and his new bride a few month's back or maybe last Summer.

What is the strangest/funniest thing you have ever seen at a wedding ? Groom being thrown in the pool with tuxedo still on.

Have you ever caught the Bouquet or Garter at a wedding ? No.

Some Just Because Questions:

What is your favorite food leftover ? I don't really have a favorite leftover. Mr. VA doesn't like leftovers, so we don't have them often. Our cat loves us.

Last time you ran in the grass barefoot ? When I was running from the fire ants last year. They had my shoes covered so I dumped the shoes and ran. About 25 of them got me.

Have you ever :

Been in the Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts ? No but Mr. VA was a boy scout.
Ridden on a train? 4 times all tourist attractions.
Pikes Peak
Branson train
Smoky Mountains
Durango Train
We love trains. I would really like to ride one across the country.
The amazing thing is that I have never been on Tweetsie. When I was young, it was just up the mountain from me.

Taken a drink from the hose on a hot summer day? Years ago I may have.

Karla, when it is sunny and the groundhog sees his shadow, it frightens him and he goes back in his den for six more weeks of Winter. I only remember one year in my lifetime when he didn't see his shadow, but I could be wrong. Are there statistics on this?

Last wedding was two summers ago. My BIL's second wife has the same name as his first wife. You'd think he had that name tattooed on his arm!

Nothing strange at a wedding.

Never caught the bouquet.

Leftovers-I'm on my way to Lacey's house to check the fridge. I love leftover lasagne.

I live in AZ, what grass?

Girl Scouts-yes

Train Yes my mother and I took AmTrak (sleeper car) cross counrty one summer. Great trip!

Hose- As a child I loved the taste of water and a metal nozzle.
