Good morning everyone
Happy Friday
Ok it is also Friday the 13th again We just had one last month and there is another one in November. 3 in the same year only happens every 11 years.

Early start this morning so no rushing before I get to go find out if we will have any "adventures in dog sitting" today lol

I am glad this busy week has come to an end, I am looking forward to a calm relaxing weekend lol one can always hope

So before our "kids" get up and want breakfast lets see what we can come up with for

Today's Question(s):

Is there an item that when you see it on sale you always stock up ?

Bonus Question:

If you were invited to join friends at a restaurant that wasn't the kind of food you eat, would you :
Go anyway and hope they have something on the menu that you could eat ?
Eat before you go and just have dessert ?
Say thank you but you have other plans?

Extra Credit Question:

Ok it has almost been a week since we "sprang forward"
Who still has clocks that haven't been changed ?

Just for Fun:

Can you YoYo ?
Have you ever opened an umbrella indoors ?

Today in History:
1852 - Uncle Sam cartoon figure made its debut in the New York Lantern weekly
1877 - Chester Greenwood of Farmington, ME patented the earmuff - even living in FL I have 3 pairs !!
1884 - U.S. adopts Standard Time
1915 - Dodgers manager Wilbert Robinson tries to catch a baseball dropped from an airplane, but the pilot substituted a grapefruit

Word of the Day:
inanition \in-uh-NISH-uhn\, noun:
1. The condition or quality of being empty.
2. Exhaustion, as from lack of nourishment.
3. Lack of vitality or spirit.

This is:
YoYo & Skilled Toys Week (13 - 22)

Today is:
Coconut Torte Day

Good Morning Karla! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Today's Question(s):

Is there an item that when you see it on sale you always stock up ? Soda and paper goods....all over priced so I get them as cheap as I can.
Bonus Question:

If you were invited to join friends at a restaurant that wasn't the kind of food you eat, would you :
Go anyway and hope they have something on the menu that you could eat ?
Eat before you go and just have dessert ?
Say thank you but you have other plans?

I would go anyway...my friends company is more important....now hubby would go but he's let it be known that he doesn't like the choices...good thing he has other good qualities
Extra Credit Question:

Ok it has almost been a week since we "sprang forward"
Who still has clocks that haven't been changed ? LOL..I'm looking at one on my desk right now...I'll fix that.
Just for Fun:

Can you YoYo ? Yes!
Have you ever opened an umbrella indoors ? Yeah and then remember it's supposed to be bad luck...I think it's just because if you open that big ol honkin thing inside, you're gonna knock stuff over.

Word of the Day:
inanition \in-uh-NISH-uhn\, noun:
1. The condition or quality of being empty.
2. Exhaustion, as from lack of nourishment.
3. Lack of vitality or spirit.
Hey! That's my checkbook!!

This is:
Good Samaritan Day-I'll celebrate this one!!!

Happy Friday everybody!!

Is there an item that when you see it on sale you always stock up ?

Yes. Everything. That's how we shop. When it's on sale, we buy enough so that we don't have to buy it again until it's on sale again. Our monthly shopping bill (for two of us - and the cat) is approximately $350 a month ... and yes, I eat well.

If you were invited to join friends at a restaurant that wasn't the kind of food you eat, would you go anyway and hope they have something on the menu that you could eat?

The idea is to enjoy the time with the friends, so I'd go and find something that I would eat.

Ok it has almost been a week since we "sprang forward". Who still has clocks that haven't been changed?

I haven't changed the clock in my car yet. I'll get to it eventually.

Everyone have a lucky Friday the 13th!!

Good Morning Karla and everyone - have a great weekend!

Only thing on sale I ever stock up on is dog-related supplies & food, or vases, ribbons, etc. for the business.
Can't remember the last time I stocked up on anything for the house or pantry.

I would join my friends for dinner & find something on the menu. Even places dedicated to one kind of food usually have something.
IMO, the whole point of it is to "break bread" with those in your life you care about & want to spend time with!

OK it has almost been a week since we "sprang forward"
Who still has clocks that haven't been changed ?
shhh....you caught me!

Can you Yo Yo ?
Have you ever opened an umbrella indoors ?
Yes to both! Livin' on the edge, baby!

Today's Question(s):

Is there an item that when you see it on sale you always stock up ?
anything that is in the sales paper and coupons for that I actually use

Bonus Question:

If you were invited to join friends at a restaurant that wasn't the kind of food you eat, would you :
Go anyway and hope they have something on the menu that you could eat ?
Eat before you go and just have dessert ?
Say thank you but you have other plans?

my friends know the type of restaurants that I eat at or don't eat at, so they would never ask me to go some place that I don't like, and I'm the same with them (even though we don't go out that much)

Extra Credit Question:

Ok it has almost been a week since we "sprang forward"
Who still has clocks that haven't been changed ?
I have not, will do it tomorrow when I get home (even thought my computer automatically did it, it's wrong now, because Haiti does not observe day light saving time)

Just for Fun:

Can you YoYo ?
one or 2 spins and that is is
Have you ever opened an umbrella indoors ?yes

wow the "kids" are still sleeping
so before I sneak out
let me answer
Today's Question(s):

Is there an item that when you see it on sale you always stock up ?

Diet pepsi I go through a lot of it
When I was at Walmart the other day the 2 liters were on sale for $1 !! Reg price $1.69 I bought 10 I am going to go back and get more this weekend

Bonus Question:

If you were invited to join friends at a restaurant that wasn't the kind of food you eat, would you :

This is happening tonight, a few days ago hubby asked about going they are al meeting at a New Orleans style restaurant. This style of food is not on my "selective eaters list" lol when I spent 4 days in NO I had real issues

I decided to be pro-active and called the restaurant to see if they had any non-spicy food

looks like I may be ok with a burger or grilled chicken
I can always just have dessert

The only time I would not consider going is if there was absolutely nothing I could eat because the "why don't you just try this or that" just wears me out.
Luckily most of our friends are aware of my PITA eating habits lol

I do usually eat before going to a buffet type house party though

Extra Credit Question:

Ok it has almost been a week since we "sprang forward"
Who still has clocks that haven't been changed ?

very guilty the clocks in the guestroom , garage sunroom and hall are still behind
Just for Fun:

Can you YoYo ? yes
Have you ever opened an umbrella indoors ? you know I don't think so

I need to live more dangerously

ok off to my friends house

Good morning everyone and I'm also glad this busy week has come to an end. Even though we were busy with fun stuff, after a while you want some down time.
Like having filet Mignon every night, then you just want a hamburger.

Is there an item that when you see it on sale you always stock up ? This is sometimes. I really dont' have the room for stocking. But I do buy the large toilet paper and paper towels.

Bonus Question:

If you were invited to join friends at a restaurant that wasn't the kind of food you eat, would you :
Go anyway and hope they have something on the menu that you could eat ? I would go anyway. You can always find something you like. The important thing is spending time with friends.

Ok it has almost been a week since we "sprang forward"
Who still has clocks that haven't been changed ?
All ours are changes but I"m still off kilter.
Just for Fun:

Can you YoYo ? Used too but haven't in years.
Have you ever opened an umbrella indoors ?
Yes I have

Today's Question(s):

Is there an item that when you see it on sale you always stock up ?
Not always on any item....but I will buy and freeze a good buy on meats....and if there is a non perishable food item on sale that I use.....I might buy some extra.

Bonus Question:

If you were invited to join friends at a restaurant that wasn't the kind of food you eat, what would you do: In the past I was a vegan....so I was often in that situation.....sometimes I would decline (for example if everyone were going to enjoy a crab boil....I didnt want to sit and watch while the animals were dismembered and eaten and listen to the group focus and discuss the event....so I declined. I am no longer vegan....but would decline going to a Pig Roast....because I find the images unpleasant......But other than those two.....even when I was a vegetarian I would go and find something on the menu I could eat.
Extra Credit Question:

Ok it has almost been a week since we "sprang forward"
Who still has clocks that haven't been changed ?

The car clock is still wrong....sometimes I put it off until it is right again....otherwise I need to get out the owners manual.....(we have had this car for 5 years.)

Just for Fun:

Can you YoYo ? Not well, but up and down ..... yes.
Have you ever opened an umbrella indoors ? I try to avoid it....but yes I have.

Today is:
Coconut Torte Day
National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day (Why would you?)
Good Samaritan Day (Why wouldn't you?)
Ear Muff Day (Not cold enough now.....perhaps never cold enough!)
