My husband and I are in our thirties 32/31. My husband is in school and as soon as he graduates we plan to move to the PNW (from Texas) where we have more friends than family. (No family). It's always been a dream of ours and we finally feel financially ready to make the move.

What are your thoughts on having our first child before or after we move? I've read some things about moving to a new city with a newborn isn't the greatest thing to do. As a new mother and father, we would be home at least for the first six months and it would be hard to meet new people. However, I would want both grandparents to be able to spend time with our child for a few months too.

A family is definitely in our plans...just the timing is what we are trying to figure out. Thanks in advance

I was in the same exact situation as you. My hubby and I are TTC and we just moved back to CT where we have our family. We decided to wait, because moving 1300 miles alone is annoying, never mind w/ a baby too.

I would wait until after, because with the hormones that come with being pregnant and the stress of the move may not be good for the marriage OR the pregnancy plus depending on how long it is until you move I always hated changing doctors and etc. Good luck!
