Nothing. They're my parents. Why would it embarrass me? I didn't do it. I've never understood this concept. I'm entertained when they do something to embarrass themselves, though!

She sang in front of everyone in the car when she picked me up from school, knowing perfectly well I found it irritating and embarrassing.

Dad dressed up like a ballerina for halloween. Fake bra and all. I was in middle school...

When my mom gets stressed, anxious or frustrated she picks her nose. She was typically stressed, anxious or frustrated around my friends/boyfriends.

My dad wore a toupee.

While she was driving the carpool, she stopped and made me pick up a dress from the middle of the road. And then she made me wear the dress to school (another day...at least she let me wash it first).

She worked out of state, any time we had something to do locally she would dress and act like a pig. Like wear shorts with unshaved gorilla legs. One time she wore a pair of pants that a period stain that didn't wash out. Belch, fart, and burp. One of the stores we frequented asked her if she was lesbian.

My parents were extremely active in our school and church activities and just about everything embarrassed me when I was a teenager. I look back now and treasure the memories of what great parents I had and what extremely "presentable" people they were. I think their example helped me be a better parent than I would have been otherwise.

Unfortunately, nothing I could do embarrassed my daughter and granddaughter.....they were impervious to embarrassment, no matter how hard I tried. Sigh. Well, I have a great-granddaughter now and there's still hope....
