The wife and I have done six 14 hours flights when our kids were 14-24 months old. It was a nightmare for us, but everyone else had a good flight. In fact the people around us complemented us on the non stop effort we put in to make sure out kids didn't disturb them.
Parents that just let their kids melt down are the worst. Some kids are harder than others though.

I surely didn't mean all but I see it everyday where younger parents have no clue how to be a real parent. They let their kids run wild with absolutely no or weak and ineffective discipline, spoil them with everything they want etc. I can tell that some of these younger parents that I know have a monster in the making with their kids. Telling mom and dad NO, slapping them and throwing fits when they don't get what they want etc. and the parents just shrug it off.
I can just envision the mother now. On her Facebook probably posting anti Trump garbage and saying "calm down honey" over and over while not taking her eyes from the screen.
Everyone get's a trophy, every child is perfect. We live in Utopia.
If I was on that flight...I don't care whose kid it is...I would shut him up if the parents won't.
What strategies would you have used?
