I was just thinking when I was a kid, we got maybe 25 cents at the most, per tooth. So, I was curious...

How much do parents give your children for the Tooth Fairy now, per tooth?

And, does it matter how old the child is or which tooth fell out, etc. Do they still put it under their pillow, etc.

For oldest grandson's first tooth lost, the tooth fairy left him $5. Subsequent ones, $1. He was examining one of his lost teeth, dropped it outside in the grass, and couldn't find it. His parents told him the tooth fairy found it, and still left the dollar under his pillow.

Our Tooth Fairy pays $5 per tooth.

That equates to not really having quite enough money to buy anything from the toy section in WalMart/Target or 5 pieces of junk from the Dollar Tree.

It was a couple of bucks for the first few and then went up to $5 and maybe a pack of gum or something as a treat. Does not matter which tooth it is.

I think we did $5 the first one. Then a dollar. Now that he's losing bigger teeth it's back to $5!

I gave a dollar. I was so mad at my neighbor who gave elaborate prizes (toys, dolls, etc). I was a single mom and often fell asleep before I could get the dollar under the pillow.

my daughter finally told me I was the worst tooth fairy ever, but I think that was probably the occasion of her last tooth so it didn't matter.

I was a much better easter bunny.

I vaguely remember it being 25 cents. But that was a good while ago.

To make things easier for the "fairy" to find it, I had to wrap the tooth up in a kleenex

The tooth fairy gives gold $1coins.
For the first tooth, she brought $5 in coins, and a small baggy of miniature treasures.
