I am looking for a backpack for my son. He is around 4.5 years old. He is a big fan for astronaut or space. I wonder if anyone know a website to order such backpack? I searched amazon but couldn't find one suitable to him.

Thanks.

My kids used the LL Bean Junior backpacks. I think Lands End has them too. They are sized down for smaller kids and you can get them monogrammed/embroidered. I don't know if they do but they might have a rocket ship or something similar that can be embroidered on.

Also try Lilly's Kids (Lillian Vernon) - they might have something.

lisdol: Thanks for your reply. I am searching on them now. This "embroidered" really helps me for the search.

My son is in 1st grade and has a Land's End Classmates Small Haul - perfect for kindergarten thru 2nd grade, IMO. I took it to a local embroidery shop and let him choose the design he wanted. The embroidery was around $15 and now he has a unique backpack that won't get lost in the sea of generic bags tucked away in the cubby room.

I bet you can have a rocket ship added onto it at an embroidery shop

I got my son an all black backpack from some store in Texas...it had some special material where we could iron a label on it and then wash it off with warm water. I love it...so far he's had a Cars, Buzz Lightyear, Thomas the Train and Elmo. The label is super easy to put on and take off, you just have to find a picture you like online and put it in your printer - it only works with certain printers though - if I can remember the name of the store I'll post where I got it from.

I hope you don't mind my input: please teach him to be sparing with what he carries in it, and insist that he complies... kids who go through elementary school & early middle school carrying a huge weight of books etc. in backpacks can permanently damage their spines.

yeah I see that in my sons classroom and I try to figure out "what the heck is in that thing" all he carries back and forth is a planner and an ocassional jacket/sweater.
