How is it for families, schools and quality of life....is it out in the "boonies" or does it have all major conviences..new construction of homes etc etc.

Anything and EVERYTHING would be appreciated. Is part of the lehigh valley.

What about manicured lawns and sidewalks...where we live currently....no sidewalks and your lucky if people have blacktoped their driveay.....its rural.

Looking the whole "desperate Housewifes" feel to it..with kids playing, neighbors, and the such.

What about nazareth, and perkasie? We just dont want to be in the boonies..you know..where you have to drive to the mailbox....LOL

Oh yes..the shops and promenade....I did hear on that. How is traffic east and westbound on route 78 in the 730 morning? Just want to see how far south we can go to still have a max 30 minute commute.

I live in Lower Macungie Township, East penn schools. As with Parkland, it's a larger, primarily suburban school district, whereas the Saucon and Southern lehigh schools are smaller, yet suburban as well. Nazareth is smaller, but experiencing the same growth as many districts in the area. Perkasie...not as familiar with...it's Bucks County..closer to Phila. by maybe 15 mimutes (it's 55-60 minutes from the center of the lehigh valley to Philly). Good luck...
