Legally, maybe not, but it most likely is done. There is no one out there.

You can't ride any unlicensed vehicles on any road in the state, AFAIK. The laws are there for a reason. I surely don't want to come up on an ATV when I'm driving the back roads.

Some townships do allow ATV riding on certain roads (against the recommendations of every higher authority, of course).

In a brochure on the following link http://www.marienville-fire.com/wp-c...TVBrochure.pdf

Quote:
Township roads designated for ATVs are posted with a green sign containing the side view silhouette of an ATV and rider in white. Some roads may be designated and posted as joint-use roads open to both ATVs and licensed motor vehicles. Joint use roads are posted with signs stating that both types of vehicles may use the road. ATV operators on joint-use roads must be at least 16 years of age. Municipal ordinances may further regulate the use of ATVs on roads within their jurisdiction.
I don't know if townships around Tidioute do. I don't know how to find a list of the townships that allow ATV's, or which roads in the townships that do.

Thanks so much, I found out that ATV,s are welcome on roads around West Hickory PA. Has anyone hunted deer around Morrison Hill RD near Tidioute PA?

There's enough land in the area open to hunting that hunting leases aren't much used. That may have changed the last few years but there are State Game Lands everywhere as well as the lumber companies which generally don't have a problem with people hunting.

Can you ride trails on Lumber Co land with your ATV?

I don't know, possibly some. At one time you could. The Allegheny National Forest has ATV trails and almost all of it is open to hunting.

The reason I ask, is I have Muscular Dystrophy and have a permit from the game commission to hunt out of my truck. I would rather use my UTV as a mobility device in the woods. I hope someone can answer the question as to where I can ride the UTV or who I can ask for permission. Thanks.
