Stop. You're making me drool.

I was in town last weekend, and they weren't ready yet. Stopped in at Finnell's on Buffalo Road, and there weren't any yet.

There is nothing like driving around North East on a sunny fall day. The aroma of the grapes is out of this world. If I ever move back to Erie, I will live in nothing less than a small house surrounded by concord grape vineyards.

Give it to the end of this month, and you'll find all you ever wanted.

Finnell Farms roadside stand on Buffalo Road, just east of Harborcreek Village, is my favorite place to buy grapes, pumpkins, apples, cider, etc. I'll be visiting their stand this weekend, probably more than once.

Mobilia Farms in North East is worth checking out; they also operate Arrowhead Winery (which is conveniently right next door!).

Also, Burch Farms, on Sidehill Road in North East.

Here's a link to the pick-your-own farms; scroll down to Erie County:

Boy, this is an old thread but I love those Concords and we get a 'few' here in some CA stores for a very short time. I guess I can look for them MAYBE end of Sept or Oct.

I rarely ever see fresh concord grapes in the supermarket and I have never seen the seedless variety. Concord grapes are used to make grape juice and grape jelly and sweet or semi sweet vins ordinaire like "Lake Country Red."

I love concord grapes and grape pie is my favorite. In my opinion, Portage Pie in Westfield, NY has the best grape pie I have had so far.
