Penn State - Erie has a great chapel and excellent landscaping. Website is www.pserie.psu.edu/ You should be able to access pictures and contact information there.

I once attended a wedding in Erie that was on a dinner cruise boat circling around the bay. I think the boat is called the Princess, something like that. Or you could get married up on the tower on the dock, that would be interesting.

We had a ceremony and reception on Presque Isle. Although an outdoor wedding in Erie, even in the summer, can be risky.

We rented an enclosed pavillion at the state park. It was really nice but a bit rustic, so that may or may not work for you. But it was also really cheap, under $100 for the day, and came with a full kitchen, a bathroom, and anything else you might need. I think it was the Rotary Pavillion on this map, but I don't remember for sure: http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/parks/presqueisle/presqueisle_mini.pdf (broken link)

Yeah, Waldameer... that would be nice. the guests could have their choice of cotton candy or funnel cake for dinner.

And you know, amusement parks do tend to attract the really high-class element of society.

I'm pretty sure he didn't mean the actual amusement park. Waldameer actually does have a nice banquet hall... I think I went to a prom there once.

A couple years ago we went to the museum and weren't allowed in because a wedding was going on. People get married outside at Phipps all the time. I don't know if Erie has places like that.
