Hi everyone:
I am searching for an important person in my life-the nurse who cared for me in July,1949, at Camb. City Hospital. I was 3 mo. premature. The woman was tall, African American, and young. My parents never told me her name. Due to discrimination , I do not believe there were large numbers of blacks employed there. I want to find out her name, if she is living, and thank her. (or honor her memory. My parents said she was "fiercely devoted" to my well being. Maybe you have a relative who fits that description? Perhaps you worked there? I realize it was 58 yrs. ago so your memory might not be too vivid. But any old employee photos or guides may help. She may have graduated with you or received some award for service.Thank you for anything you can share!
