My mother (Jane Williams, Tennessee) was Frank B. Thompson's sister. She, my father and I have visited Frank and Doris in San Jose and we have talked on the phone for years.
After Uncle Frank died, in less than a year I could no longer reach Aunt Doris on the phone. They had two children -- a daughter Becky and a son. I am getting old enough (60) to have temporarily forgotten the son's name. I do remember Becky having children and met her more than once; I briefly met the son once.
The last time I talked to Aunt Doris she had been back in the hospital, and indicated it was to have another digit on her hand removed. She was quite the character ... plainly spoken ... and told it like she saw it. Her step-mother in Lebanon, Tennessee was an iris grower and we would see each other frequently. I believe her name was Frances, but I am not sure. I would love to hear from you.
