My mother died when I was 12/13 years old. Never heard anything but stories about my father. Saw him once when I was 7 or 8 gave me a wrangler jacket that was all. But would like to know him before he gets old. Please help with info. I think he used to live upper NW off alsaka ave.
I think that he was born in Feb around 1935-1939. Maybe from SC columbia/charleston...he also used to sell cars back in 1970-75 on Mass Ave in DC. I remeber him being a tall dark black man wore suit all of the time. Slight bald spot in center of his head.
I am still looking...not a trace of him. I have searched obituaries military records, everything I can think of. Does any one know a Benjamin Brooks??? I dont know if that is even his real name at this point or if I even have a father. I feel really bad because my children have no grandfather, and everyone should know their family, just to feel like they have roots from somewhere..belong. Does anyone know Flossie Johnson from Maryland? I think she was a first cousin but I dont have a clue. I spent my childhood in foster care for a while. Any leads would help. God Bless.
