I have my maternal uncle came to new York from India around 1984. Its been 5 years he has not contacted us. I just know his name , don't even know if the spelling is correct or not. Can you please help me finding him? I can provide his address which is i guess 15 years old and also a contact number which is closed now.
His name is Babu Choudhary as i spell it but I don't know how he spells.

i also have a picture of him when he was in 8th grade. Can you suggest something more? I will try calling people in day. And if you know approximately how old is he who lives there?

Maybe the second phone number given by MrBill is a good one or to someone who remembers your uncle.
It's a large 2600 square foot 12 unit boarding house so people may come and go. Look at that link and call all them. Someone living there past or present may know your uncle. Good luck.

Write a letter to the address where your Uncle lived at one time. With it being a 12 unit complex and he lived in one of them that leaves 11 more occupants. If any of those 11 still live there they may remember something about your Uncle that can help find him.
You can send it registered mail and if he is still there he will have to sign for it. You can also put request forwarding address and the post office will send it to him if he moved in the last year. See link.
