My wife Lorraine is seacrhing for her sister in law Jill Lewis who lived in Syndey near to the Opera House.
She married Lorraine's half brother Phillip who was the son of Charles Carey Lewis (nickname Snowy). She had two sons Christopher and Nicholas.
Maybe she has re-married but my wife lost touch with Jill (or Gillian) some years ago. She would dearly love to know what happened to her and the boys as she is coming over to Oz in October and if possible would like to meet and catch up.

I do not have a lot of info . Charles Carey Lewis was in the Australian Airforce and in UK was stationed at
Farnham. Phillip his son died some years ago.(no actual dates known) Christopher and Nicholas probably now have families of their own.

My wife Lorraine met Jill (Gillian) in Perth when she came over to arrange her father Charles Lewis's funeral.

Cannot provide any other info than that I;m afraid but this might be enough to find Jill.

Still no news of Jill or her whereabouts nor her sons Christopher and Nicholas.
Would be so good to know what happened to them and if they are still in Sydney

We come over in October , it would be good t meet for a coffee and catch up.

My father, (Jill's father in law) Charles Carey Lewis (Nickname Snowy) used to fly
for the Australian Airforce.

Can you be a little more specific than Phillip dying "some years ago?" 1990's, 1980's, etc? How old do you think the sons would be about now? What age do you think Phillip would be if he were alive now?

I have found Charles Carey Lewis, and there are a few family trees on Ancestry, but they don't mention the son on these trees.

Default Ref Search for Jill Lewis

Well my wife's father Charles Carey Lewis died in 1984 and his funeral was arranged by Simplicity Funerals in Perth where he died. His son Phillip had died a long while before that but have no idea when. Jill Lewis,
Phillip's wife could have re-married so may have a different surname now. She lived in Sydney quite near to the Opera House with her sons Christopher and Nicholas Lewis who would now be in their forties I think.

Sorry but have very little info other than that.

You may not think what little more information you gave could help in your search, but every little bit helps.

It would be helpful to know if Phillip was older or younger than your wife, and the age of your wife, or year of birth so those who want to help have some sort of age/year range. Was Phillip born in Australia, or UK?

Your wife may find this amusing:

22 Oct 1934 - DISAPPEARANCE OF JEWELLERY - Trove=

23 Oct 1934 - POLICE COURTS. - Trove=

01 Nov 1934 - Dreamed Her Jewels Were Gone! - Trove=

There are other articles, though not sure if these pertain to one of the same Charels Care Lewis

Search results for '"Charles carey lewis"' - Digitised newspapers and more - Trove

It appears, if the child the article mentions is Phillip, then he was born around 1930-1934 I believe.

Haven't had any other luck finding any other info at this time. Hope you find it before you go there. Otherwise, I'd search the phone book once you do get there.
