Hi!
I don't know where are they... Sorry for my little English.
I know that they moved to Lawrence(MA).
About my relatives I know that my grandmother Sebastiana Messina (born in
Viagrande - Sicily - in 1899) had 3 brothers

1)-Giuseppe Messina born in Viagrande (Sicily) in 1891
2)-Alfio Messina born in Viagrande (Sicily) in 1895
4)-Salvatore Messina born in 1905 and died 1931

I don't know who, between Giuseppe or Alfio Messina, moved to Lawrence but I think Giuseppe
I know sure that one of their had a son called Antonio Messina born in
Lawrence and lived in 175 Howard st - Lawrence - (MA) at least until 1958.
Our cousin also moved to Lawrence La Rosa Mauro, Anna and Alfio.
I make this search from much time but I have not still had a result.
Thank for your reply.
Antonella

How are you Antonella? My name is Joe Messina & I live in Lynn, MA, just north of Boston. My father's name is Santo J. Messina & he was born in Catania, Sicily on 2 Dec 1906. His parents were Salvatore & Mary Messina & they came to America when my father was little. My father had 2 brothers & 1 sister, John, Vincent & Frances. My grandparents lived in Revere, MA & my grandfather grew mushrooms & peppers in the back yard garden to sell. My grandmother passed in 1955 & my grandfather in 1964. I don't know how many brothers or sisters my grandfather had, but there is a Messina that owns a restaurant & he says he uses a lot of recipes from his grandmother who was from Catania.
