Does the L.A. county bureau still seal records? We have 2 children adopted from the L.a. county. I don't think either wants to find their natural or biological parents but if they did that would a problem. They were both adopted through the L.A. county.

Do you have any indication of the ages of the girls? Or of your birthmother?

All adoption records in the US are sealed. When the children are of age and choose to learn more about their birth and birth family, they can petition the court and see if the judge will unseal them. They would have to do that not the adoptive parents.

If the children were adopted through an Adoption Agency then the adoptive parents should tell them the name of that agency and then the children can go to that agency and see their file.
