I am an independent contractor, how do I files taxes, and how often do I have to do them? Where should I go to get the paperwork and stuff to do my taxes? I really need help with this.:-)

You need to file quarterly and the forms are located at www.irs.gov

And realize (refer to Schedule SE) that you are paying both side of the FICA tax (social security, medicare) which is normally split between an employee and an employer plus any estimated federal taxes based on the tax bracket that you are in.

As a self employed person who admits they need help and don't understand the process, I HIGHLY recommend that you hire an accountant to help you for at least the first year.
