By the way, I looked up the phone number online and 4154848569 - Chris Brown , Stinson Beach, CA - page 2/5 came up along with several complaints associating the phone number to a scam. But what's surprising was the name of the owner supposedly. It's Chris Brown. Lol! Of all the names the caller could think of, why did he have to choose one that is so popular?

I heard a report on the radio, NPR??, yesterday that this same is nationwide and thousands have fallen for it. Just spread the word to anyone you may know that might be vulnerable to something like this, maybe an elderly parent or a young adult that hasn't had much experience with the IRS yet, etc.

I can understand being freaked out by the beginning of the scam, but how do you fall for it once it get to this point:

5. Then another person came in explaining the process - get out in car, go to ATM withdraw money and wire transfer. Do not hangup as it will be considered you do not want to cooperate. The thing that tripped me was - go to CVS and Wiretransfer it via Netspend.
I mean, HUGE RED FLAG !! That just screams scam and illegitimate to me...
