I noticed my credit score made a big jump from the end of February and was wondering what could have led to the sudden increase? It actually increased 48 pts from 2/28 to 4/1 and was wondering what could have been the reason? I have not made any large payments recently on my credit card balance which is why I was surprised at the big jump in just 30 days.

Thanks

Nothing negative rolled off but a new card was added in the middle of March when I was approved for a Sleepy's Card.

There are many reasons but without more details its a guessing game. Could be inquiries dropping off, avg length of accounts increase etc etc

You just increased your credit line which could have brought down your credit utilization

I have to ask why do you always think of the most negative reasons?

Is it you don't know any better or just a negative person?

I have read lots of that ncole1 posts, and truly would not take most as negative. I think they were asking as that is the usual reason for a big jump. HTH
