If you actually read the post, it says that this poll is "unlikely to be useful for most academic research". Which means that it will not be published in a reputable journal.

Not sure why you think a journal will accept this. I can only imagine that is why you're trying to find which one.

retired.
Income is determined by how much we want to pay in taxes from IRA/Roth withdrawals.

I think we will emerge out of the hump in 2018 as another annuity kicks-in.
Just talked to our accountant. We are still out side of SS Hump and can take more IRA withdrawals before we will be significantly impacted.

Seriously people, a poll is reasonably simple and doesn't require a lot of debate.
Just because a poll is easy to answer (this one isn't because there are gaps) doesn't mean it is in any way interpretable or meaningful....

You probably gross that, don't you, Doc?

Why's it so hard to believe that others do as well?

Actually, I was intrigued by the poll results so far, If you go over to CD's Employment forum, everyone on that board toils under the whip of some unappreciated master for only $200 a week and a bowl of soup at christmas. At least of this board, many are earning decent wages. Fascinating.

We will spend about $64k this year for a family of 3 and that includes mortgage, car payments, and daycare for an infant. However, I only track actual expenses so this doesn't include taxes. It includes money that leaves our account in the form of payment. I also count the entire payment as an expense whether it pays off some principal or not. I want to get an idea of how much it would cost us to live.
