That's why I plan to keep my Mastercard after just paying it off because you are right a lot of places don't accept Amex.

I never been to a place that didn't accept Discover Card.

I would keep Visa and AM Ex. But I agree on keeping the one with the longest history. Also look at which one has the highest credit limit and best incentives such as airline miles, etc.

It's going to be 11 years now for me as a Amex cardholder and my Discover Card has the highest limit so those will always be my top two credit cards.
