I came upon some loan sites such as CashUSA where you fill out a pre app,but I stopped when they asked for bank account info...and there were a few like that. Sure they can put money into your account if approved, but can they also do other things? We shouldn't have to enter than info until actually approved...

They sound more interested in pulling your money out than helping you put any in.

Why not use a legitimate, well known lender?

I'm not a fan of the sites that connect you with lenders. I tried one when looking into a mortgage and it was a nightmare of spammy calls and emails. It's been two years and I still get emails on occasion.

I can't imagine any legitimate reason for them to need your checking account information at this stage.

Credit score might be too low.

There are several on line peer to peer vendors. Lenderclub is one https://www.lendingclub.com/auth/login

Lending tree is another https://www.lendingtree.com

I just know the names and have not used. I would do some research before giving them any info.
Since I do not know the name of the one you stated I would stay away from it.
My guess is after you are approved you will need to give then banking info.

Trying to find a debt consolidation loan with a low credit score is darn near impossible. My husband got sick a couple of years ago and are credit went to hell. He's fine now and going back to work but trying to find a lender that will lend you money to consolidate and payoff all that old debt and IMPROVE your credit is again, impossible. Even peer to peer won't touch us which is frustrating and FYI, Cash USA is a payday loan company. Steer well clear of them!

I lend to people on LendingClub. They rank each prospective borrower with a grade and I can pick and choose who to lend to based on the borrower's prospectus. I don't make a ton of money from it but I do feel like I'm helping out others getting back on their feet.

I had quicken loan and they were honest and works in the best of both mine and their interests. The other sites that have been claiming to be trustworthy, you have to look at their history. I also agreed with the previous poster of website that introduces/finds you lenders.

It's too bad LendingClub weeds anyone out below at 620 score though. Because of my husband's illness, our credit is back in the 500's but slowly climbing. I've been at the same company for 4 years and make over 70K and he'll be back to work in June making around the same but no one will touch us even though the income is there to pay it. I work in the financial industry and even I am frustrated by the whole affair...lol

I get your frustration. I do have to say that most of my delinquencies and charge-offs are from people below 660 score but I still try to find that diamond in the rough to fund.
