They always say, never lend money to family and friends unless it's money you don't need. Most cases they will never pay you back, you'll get excuse after excuse and your friendship will be ruined or your family will be broken up.
Years ago, my older brother wanted to use my credit card to charge his g/f engagement ring. I knew to say NO. The relationship didn't work out and he has since been working/fired/working/fired etc......
It's only $500.00. Is it really worth the hassle of taking it to small claims? You wait around all day long for a few dollars - that you may never see again. Just sayin' ........
my old roomate owes me $350, we only had an agreement via text messages.... can i do anything? hes been igonring my calls and just called me to let me know hes moved out of state. what do i do?
Money is owed to my business. The amount is about $2k. The person that owes the money has other major creditors after them. So Small Claims and having a tarnished credit image are of no obvious concern.
They still live high on the hog.
As mentioned Small Claims or a Collection Agency will have no effect.
Is it legal after repeated written attempts, emails and phone calls to collect with no action to post a sign that says, "Mr X owes this business Money"????
Then you file the judgement and continue to and wait in that case.Evenually they will need to get the judgement cleared.
