My 14yr old girl has been diabetic for 6yrs. She is actually doing quite well and can go 24-36 hrs without needing dosing. She is on Levemir. I am due to get a new script or this and usually go to Walgreen's to get it. I went online to see prices and was shocked to see how high/expensive it has gotten. With the "family" membership which my girl has had for years with Walgreen's but still price for Levemir Flextouch 5 pak pens runs 477.00. Yikes!!!
I guess I am looking for suggestions or what others do when things have gotten so expensive. She is doing very well on this insulin and do not want to change it.
My vet recently recommended using goodrx.com to find the best prices on my dogs' meds. My mom's cat is diabetic but she doesn't use pens, she gives him shots. I don't *think* she pays that much. Geez...
