I have some appliances that are relatively new and would like to donate to an animal charity. I live in MA does anybody know of any ANIMAL charity that needs a refrig. side-by-side 2005, microwave 2005, washer 2005 and dryer 2008? I would consider giving to an abused women shelter second. If no takers I will sell on my own.

a) Get a phone book
b) Call animal welfare organizations and see if they need your stuff
c) Don't be upset if they don't need it or don't have any means of hauling it away

Not sure if they'll have a need but they have a few shelters throughout mass so maybe one of them could use it..

the MSPCA is closing at least 3 of their branches, so they may not need any more stuff.

OP, why not donate these items to the Home for Little Wanderers? a lot for the group homes for the kids could have a use for these items. this is an amazing company that does a lot for good for kids and teens:

The Home for Little Wanderers: The Home for Little Wanderers

ETA: here's a better link to a thrift shop in Boston where the proceeds go to the Home
