Relocating from CT to PA/DE be closer to family. Would love information/advice on active adult communities in Delaware County, Chester County or Wilmington area of DE. Thanks!

The only ones I am familiar with are in the Bucks County area.

I have family in Fox Run in New Hope. Gorgeous buildings, nice way of life. The people there are a bit snobby but you can say that about almost anywhere.

I would actively think about whom you want to live around.

A family friend purposely moved to Heritage Creek in Warminster because of the large Jewish Population. It's something around 40% of the households there. Its a wonderful community but again there isn't much diversity.

I'm not sure how this might translate to other communities, but I do know that there are other factors to consider beyond location and price. Try to talk to the people that already live there and get a feel for what you kind of climate you want.

The two which come to mind in Delaware County are Maris Grove in Glen Mills and Fox Valley in Garnett Valley. Both are close to great shopping areas, including tax-free Delaware. Google them and you should get their web sites.
