Just a general thank you to city-data users and of course to city-data for being there.

It was really nice, pre-moving to be able to talk to local people in the areas of interest.

And yes -- this helped to talk us OUT of going a couple of places!

People's responses were always helpful and friendly.

I just wanted to say thanks!

I second that. This forum has been tremendously helpful preparing me for my move. In a few short weeks time I'll be proud to call Philly home.

I took a rental in Conshohocken and plan to buy after a year. The central location, proximity to highways, rail and running path sealed it for me.

By "running path," I assume you're referring to the Schuylkill River Trail. If you take it due east from Conshohocken for about 6-7 miles, you'll end up in Manayunk. Another 6 miles and you'll be at the Art Museum in the city. It's a great trail. In the other direction is Valley Forge National Historic Park.

Yes, that's what I meant. It looks like a great resource and is totally free. I've found a few running groups on Meetup. Can't wait to get started.

Give me your mom and dad's address so that I can send them a Thank You card! I'm kidding, but thank you for thanking people for their help.
