Hi All,

Visiting from the Raleigh, NC City-Data forum. . . . .

We are arriving in town at dinner-time on Christmas day to spend a week with my family. Our hotel is at Bell Rd and Highway 101 (is that Arrowhead Mall?).

I'm looking for a simple family-style or counter-service (not fast food) restaurant where we (wife and I + 2 preschool children) can get dinner on our first night. I'm sure that there are plenty of restaurants in this area but not sure which ones are open on Christmas day. I guess we could just drive around and look for the ones with cars in their parking lots, but I was hoping for some recommendations.

Thanks.

Thee Pitts Again is "open every day". Not sure if that means Christmas. Their smoked turkey is very, very good. Maybe give them a call and see if they'll be open.

Ask at your hotel... they may have some ideas for you.

Ninfa's Mexican Kitchen (good food) and Buca di Beppo (Italian family style) are both open from 12-7ish. I'm sure there are many others.

Yes. They are. Thanks for the info.

Buca requires reservations, so that may not be the best choice due to the variablity of our flight arrival time. We haven't eaten in a Ninfas in years, so perhaps that will be a good choice.

Any others?

What about Cheesecake Factory? Always a good choice.

Or PF Changs, they are right there too.

Yes. I am sure there are too. . . . .but I'm not familiar with that area. A Google search yielded P F Changs, but a phone call revealed that they are closed on Christmas Day.
