Right now it looks like I won't be building at all, as I'm not able to find the same size place for as inexpensive as they could offer it.

Oh, by the way, it was Trend Homes. Stay away at all costs if you can. They're a bunch of bait and switch crooks.
What a shame, especially in this market. I think the whole "lot release" process is a gimmick anyway. If they sold so many of the new releases, why couldn't they just honor them and build in that section next instead of whatever area they meant to release?

We've been shopping for 6-7 months now and we've seen it all...while I'm sure there are good, honest, builders and sales folks out there, I have lost confidence in the entire new home market...the word 'collusion' keeps popping into my head.

Best of luck to you.

Personally, Jabs . . . I feel very strongly that you should be compensated with more than a simple refund!

Have you been able to obtain legal advice?

Good Luck!
