It's almost August and you guys are still having highs near 110F, and it looks as though it's going to be that way for a while. Is this normal for Phoenix? Or does this summer seem to be especially hot? What does the weather man do during these summer months? It seems as though hot and dry is you guys' M.O. during this time. Does anyone even listen to the weather man or check the weather during this period?

Normal, other than a false start to the monsoon.

Wow, I'm surprised you guys don't have more threads about how hot it is there. I mean, 100F-110F+ plus in August (or any other time of the year for that matter)? Crazy....

I look outside, see the sun, and know it is going to be a nice day. I really don't check the weather anymore. I know I don't need a jacket, I know I am good wearing lightweight clothes and sandals.

I might look at the satellite to see if early cloud cover is going to stick around when I want to head to the pool (I want full sun for that) but otherwise no.

It's the desert. In the summer. Of course it's hot. That goes without saying.

Spring was really mild and June didn't have that long stretch of 115 that i was getting used to.

Some storm activity lowered a bit and drove some humidity, but temps in the 105 to 110 range doesn't feel off, uncommon or remarkable

Are you kidding? How many threads are needed to describe Phoenix weather?

Moderator(s) can we delete a thread for being entirely pointless and adding little to no value for anyone reading it? This isn't even a rant, it's just pointless.

105-107 is not unusual. We have had very few 110 plus days. Really not a bad summer so far.

Summers are hot here, some days hotter than others.. No surprise, not news. In other words, nothing to see here....
