Have any of you driven to arizona? i have a 2016 altima doenst have alot of milieage, driving with my son. what would be the best route to take, i want to make sure im doing this right, it would be my first long trip driving. I believe it would take me about 3 days as i was told and of course if we have to stop & take a break aat a hotel we will.

If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to post.

Do a "mapquest" search, it will show several possible routes....if it were me, at this time of year, I'd head to the I-10 route as soon as I could...straight down I-95. I-40 and I-20 have been known to have traffic stopping bad weather, and even I-10 in west Texas, but there is no route further south than I-10 to PHX. If you do take I-20, do not plan on stopping for the night in west Texas, oil field workers on per diem have pushed hotel rates beyond reasonable.

There's multiple routes. Familiarize yourself with the options and be ready to change it weather dictates. If you take I-40 enroute to I-17 you'll be in an area that has proper winter and could be subject to storms and bad driving conditions.

3 days is pushing it. As they said, check the weather. Not all of AZ is sunny and warm....
Take 4 or 5 days. Enjoy the drive, stop before it gets dark. Nothing as bad as finding a decent place after dark. Get a room, then go eat somewhere.
West TX is indeed very expensive.150 bucks for a super8 motel is not unheard off...
