Hello,

I need someone to lay about 273sqf of tile in my new house. Price is the biggest factor, but he has to do a professional job too. I want the tile to be laid on the diagonal. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but there is no such thing as a cheap tile installation when you are paying someone else to do it. Labor will cost just as much as materials if not more. If you want to do it yourself, it really isn't too hard. It will save you about half also. Maybe this will help:

Anyone know this lady & her service? A co-worker told me she does a good job and will lay tile for $1.20 a sqf.

What lady? $1.20 a sq. ft. is less than most quotes I've received in the past. Just remember, sometimes you get what you pay for. Good Luck.

If you want a professional job done you can't expect to pay for it cheap. I am not sure what you do for a living but would you give time & hard work with for a cheaper price to someone else.

People wouldn't ask a Dr. to lower there price or an attorney etc.

Why people expect to get an experience "professional" blue collar work to do work on there homes & pay a cheap price is just wrong!

My husband has over 25 years experience with working with Natural Stone
& when he as worked on track homes or when he has worked on homes like Eddie Vedder's, Bill Gates, Bob Hope, etc. He gives the same service & professionalism to any customer. It is such an insult to expect him to lower his price or any other true professional in the stone business.

Maybe I am thinking wrong I'll see the next time I have to see my Dr. I am going to ask him if he would take care of me but this time I would like him to lower his price LOL Not there is funny

$1.20/sft? I dunno. Reminds me of that old saying "if it's too good to be true...."
